Robbie Samuels

Robbie Samuels is an award-winning Black British writer and director from London, working across film, television, and advertising. A Central Saint Martins and Edinburgh College of Art graduate, Robbie brings a multidisciplinary approach shaped by experience as a writer, director, creative, and illustrator.

He recently won two American Gold Advertising Awards for his Aunt Angie campaign and is an alumnus of the TIFF Talent Lab. His short films have screened internationally, with Vanity Fair naming him a filmmaker to watch.

Alongside directing commercials, Robbie is developing a slate of feature films and TV series — bold, often humorous stories that remix pop culture, true events, and unexpected details. (Big imagination, real heart, and a distinctive authorial voice define everything he makes.)

Robbie serves as a mentor for emerging talent within the film and TV industry, continuing a career defined by range, generosity, and creative ambition.
